EVENT “S KLANCA V KLANC” – Tadej Pogačar appreciates the support of his fans. Tadej deeply values the unwavering support of his fans at every race. That’s why we have created a unique cycling event where Tadej will personally host his fans on home soil and take them on a ride up his favorite climb – Krvavec.
Strong support is like a tailwind pushing him toward success. That’s why Tadej invites fans from all over the world to his beloved Komenda and up his favorite home climb.
“I want to give something back to the community and my fans,” said Tadej. And so S KLANCA V KLANC – “POGI CHALLENGE” was born.
What makes this evento so special?
A total of 1189 cyclists will have the opportunity to participate. This number is no coincidence—it represents the 1189 meters of elevation gain from Klanc near Komenda to the summit of Krvavec. The main goal of this event is not just competition, but an unforgettable experience that every participant will cherish for a lifetime.
Tadej loves challenges, and now he is challenging his fans. Who can beat him on his climb? Riding alongside the world’s best cyclist is an invaluable experience, but racing against him? That’s the ultimate challenge for any cycling enthusiast.
THIS IS A UNIQUE SPORTS EVENT THAT SLOVENIA AND THE WORLD HAVE NEVER SEEN BEFORE
The group start for all participants will take place in Komenda. From there, Tadej will ride alongside all the cyclists towards the foothills of Krvavec. At the mountain path junction leading up to Krvavec, the second, more intense part of the race will begin. Tadej will step aside, let all 1189 cyclists go ahead, and after a short delay, he will start his chase.
The biggest challenge for the participants will be to maintain their lead as Tadej hunts them down on the climb to the finish. In other words, they will be trying to escape from the best cyclist in the world, hoping he doesn’t catch them before they reach the summit of Krvavec. Anyone who reaches the finish line before him will be the ultimate winner, while those who get caught will walk away with an unforgettable memory and the unique experience.

We will mark it on our calendar. The event is scheduled at the end of the cycling season, allowing fans to come together, relive past successes, and engage with the media.
Registrations for the event open on May 12, 2025, and will remain open until all 1189 spots are filled.
Why Krvavec?
Tadej claimed his first cycling victory in 2009 on the climb to Krvavec, already showing back then that climbing suited him. This is also his favorite climb, and as we know, he excels in the mountains, making history with his performances. That’s why choosing the location for “POGI CHALLENGE” was an easy decision.
What happens when we reach the finish line?
The race finish will transform into a venue for celebration and memories. Expect an exciting music program, a meet & greet, a press conference for the media in front of the fans, a fan zone and an auction of Tadej’s cycling gear (all funds are going to the Tadej Pogačar Foundation).
