Tomorrow Tadej faces one of the most important days of the season. The elite road race at the World Championships in Zürich is up next and he will chase his first rainbow jersey. Alongside him will be an extremely strong Slovenian team, with Primož Roglič, Domen Novak, Jan Tratnik, Luka Mezgec, Matevž Govekar, Jaka Primožič and Matic Žumer. And also the bike on which he will fight for the world champion title on the 273.9-kilometer long course will be special.
Colnago has prepared the special edition V4rs Tadej. “I like beautiful things, I am attracted to pop culture, comics, colorfulness, diversity. All this is part of the bike that also celebrates my victories. We assembled it together, and I am happy that I will be able to race on this masterpiece on Sunday,” Tadej said about the bike, which features all the colors of the rainbow.
These symbolize his achievements to date, yellow, white, and polka dot patterns remind of the jerseys he has won at the Tour in recent years, pink for this year’s victory at the Giro, green for successes at cycling monuments in Lombardy and Liege–Bastogne–Liege. There are also two shades of blue for victories at Paris–Nice and Tirreno–Adriatico, and not even bronze is missing for the medals he won with the Slovenian team at the Olympic Games in Tokyo and the World Championships in Glasgow. The bike designers did not find just the right color for the victory at the Tour of Flanders, but they added purple, which has no connection to the biggest races.

“It’s a beautiful color, in life you always need to have something purple,” Tadej said at the presentation in Cham, where he equipped the bike with stickers from his charitable foundation. “I feel privileged to be able to race in the cycling World tour and be well-paid for it. I like giving back to the community, we started with the Pogi Team, and after Urška’s mother sadly died of cancer, we started the Tadej Pogačar Foundation. We are still at the beginning, but I believe it will be very successful one day. We want to help many people who find themselves in trouble due to illness or natural disasters. This could be my true legacy, not just racing and top victories, which are not so important in life,” Tadej added
